This is Richard Eaton. He is a founding partner of Berlin Eaton and a highly-regarded consultant. He is also a retired British Army commando and paratrooper and will be the first in, and the last to leave, any Berlin Eaton consulting project. He brings dynamic leaders together with highly skilled staff and molds them into a unit that creates practical and efficient solutions. He thrives on challenges, and Continuous Improvement and building capacity within organizations are two of his favourites.
Meet Shelly Berlin, another founding partner of Berlin Eaton. Her passion for organizational effectiveness was honed when, as a young adult, she received on-the-job training with The Disney Corporation. Her full-time consulting career began with Andersen Consulting and Price Waterhouse where strategic thinking became her focus. She thrives when serving alongside visionary leaders who are committed to making their workplaces stronger.
This is James Bretzlaff, coach and management consultant. James was Berlin Eaton’s first recruit, joining the firm in 1999. He believes there are no shortcuts to anything worth doing, and attributes his pursuit of excellence to his days representing Canada in the sport of swimming. He later held a number of high profile coaching positions across the country and now draws on those experiences for every Berlin Eaton project.
James thrives when supporting the long term success of both established and up-and-coming leaders.
Meet Norma Glendinning, the newest addition to Berlin Eaton. Norma is a former Assistant Auditor General from the BC Office of the Auditor General. She started her professional career at KPMG as a management consultant helping organizations improve performance by providing a fresh perspective and helping to build their capacity. Norma then joined the Office of the Auditor General where she enjoyed working with BC public sector organizations while conducting independent assessments of their programs. Norma is excited to return to management consulting. She thrives on working with leaders who are driven to continuously improve their organization’s performance.
Ned has been a consultant with Berlin Eaton since 2008. A former BC Legislative Intern, Ned has also worked several seasons in the commercial fishing industry. Ned provides technical, logistical, business, and other supports to projects across all three of Berlin Eaton's business areas. With a strong people focus, he works to ensure everyone involved with Berlin Eaton have the best opportunities for success.
Danae is a dedicated Certified Executive Coach (CEC) with over 15 years experience in human resource leadership and business management. She is the owner of Thinking Partners, and associate of Berlin Eaton. Danae has utilized her management and leadership expertise, coaching experience, a degree in Communications and her proven track record as a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) in creating business improvement, strategic change and leadership development in both the profit and non-profit sectors.
Meet Ingrid Bergmann, Associate of Berlin Eaton. A Certified Executive Coach specializing in Leadership and Executive Development, Ingrid’s passion for career exploration and transition fuelled her leadership of public sector HR functions across western Canada and her management of the local operations of a large international consulting firm. She thrives when helping her clients make positive and courageous career choices based on their strengths and values.
Peter is an international conductor, broadcaster, executive coach and associate of Berlin Eaton. His unique leader development workshops stimulate audience engagement and active learning, fostering a sense of community and providing clients with valuable, relevant learning experiences. Peter established his broad complement of leadership and communication skills through his many accomplishments in such professional roles as internationally renowned orchestra conductor, radio broadcaster and executive coach.
As Office Manager, it will be Marlene’s voice you hear when you call our office, and she will greet you at the door when you visit us. Born and raised on the Canadian prairies, Marlene has lived in Victoria since 2005, and enjoys the mild climate and natural beauty of Victoria. Efficient and professional, she manages the daily affairs of the office and the Learning Centre, and provides administrative support to the rest of the staff. Marlene is proud to work for a local firm that is true to their Mission and Vision, and that strives to put the needs of their clients first.
