Jo Volek, BMgt, MA
Jo brings a diverse background to Berlin, Eaton & Associates Ltd. that demonstrates her commitment, passion, and standard of excellence for adult learning and leadership.
Jo was an instructor with the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) in Edmonton, Alberta from 1995 to 2006. She taught business courses including communications, introductory financial and managerial accounting, and organizational behaviour to Computer Systems Technology (CST) students. She has also taught courses for the Business program including business math and computer concepts. Throughout her tenure at NAIT, Jo worked with over 1,500 students, helping them to integrate their learning into their careers.
Prior to teaching at NAIT, Jo worked for Alberta Agriculture for six years. She participated in projects with the Alberta Grain Commission, conducted economic farm studies with the Production Economics Branch, and supported the administration of a farm subsidy program. Jo also spent two years in Czechoslovakia as an English teacher from 1990 to 1992, teaching for several organizations including the Institute of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Justice.
Jo completed her Master of Arts in Leadership and Training (MALT) through Royal Roads University (RRU) in Victoria in 2007, and is currently an Associate Faculty Member at Royal Roads University. Jo joined Berlin, Eaton & Associates Ltd. in Nov 2007 as a lead consultant.
